Speech bubbles representing language and communication

Turning language mistakes into useful notes

Record what you learned from a correction, as well as the correct sentence. Make a new example with the same structure so the learning goes beyond one sentence.

A SHORT EXERCISE

Try it yourself first.

Correct “She go to work every day.” Then write another daily habit with the same subject.

View the solution or example answer

“She goes to work every day.” is correct. In this positive present simple sentence, the verb changes for the third person singular. “She reads in the evening.” applies the pattern again.

Your next step.

Keep one explanation and one new sentence per mistake. If it recurs, review the note and make a similar example without help.
