Connecting a condition and its result
Identify the situation and outcome before practising conditional sentences. Start with a realistic future possibility instead of every conditional form at once.
Try it yourself first.
Say you will study at home if it rains tomorrow. Make another sentence with the same condition and a different result.
View the solution or example answer
“If it rains tomorrow, I will study at home.” places the condition in the “if” clause. This structure uses present simple there; not every conditional follows this rule.
Your next step.
Use different colours for condition and result. Check that the relationship remains meaningful, beyond simply replacing a word.
